Glucocorticoids redirect naive T cells to the bone marrow in malnourished mice

چکیده
Abstract Glucocorticoids contribute to the daily migration patterns of T cells in well-nourished organisms and are elevated malnourished. We examined effect malnutrition on cell by comparing adoptively transferred malnourished control lymphoid organs recipients. found that generally entered tissues more efficiently than cells, regardless recipient. Strikingly, bone marrow recipients attracted naïve but not marrow. In contrast, spleens mice similar numbers cells. Further experiments revealed residing express higher levels CCR7 lower CD11a also cell-specific deficiency glucocorticoid receptor mice. Indeed, similarly low percentages deficient were observed mice, indicating expression is required for Overall, we have determined modifies both promote at least effects mediated via receptor. Impacts of Bone Marrow Stem Cells on Caspase-3 Levels after Spinal Cord Injury in Mice
Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a drastic disability that leads to spinal cord impairment. This study sought to determine the effects of bone marrow stem cells (BMSCs) on caspase-3 levels after acute SCI in mice. Forty-two mice were randomly divided into 3 groups: control (2 subcategories), subjected to no intervention; sham (3 subcategories), subjected to acute SCI; and experimental (2 subcategori...
متن کاملThe Role of Bone Marrow Aspiration and Bone Marrow Biopsy in Diagnosis of Bone Marrow Metastases
Background: Bone marrow is the site of many malignant disorders and it is one of the common places for solid tumors to metastasize. Examination of the bone marrow aspirate and biopsy is a routine procedure performed for assessment of various conditions such as cytopenias, hematologic neoplasms, nonmalignant disorders and metastatic neoplasms. Methods: The patients were referred to the Hema...
متن کاملP 28: Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells Reduces Neuroinflammation and Splenic Cytolytic CD8 + T Cells in Mice with Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis
Introduction: Multiple sclerosis (MS) has been recognized as a common neurodegenerative disease that occurs after an Auto reactive T cells against myelin antigens. Demyelination and inflammation are the main features of this disease. The anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective roles of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) have been considered as a suitable tre...
متن کاملBone marrow mesenchymal stem cells inhibit the response of naive and memory antigen-specific T cells to their cognate peptide.
Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have been recently shown to inhibit T-cell proliferation to polyclonal stimuli. We characterized the effect of MSCs of bone marrow origin on the T-cell response of naive and memory T cells to their cognate antigenic epitopes. The immune response to murine male transplantation antigens, HY, was selected because the peptide identity and major histocompatibility compl...
متن کاملBone Marrow T Cells are Superior to Splenic T Cells to Induce Chimeric Conversion After Non-Myeloablative Bone Marrow Transplantation
BACKGROUND/AIMS The bone marrow functions not only as the primary B-lymphocyte-producing organ but also as a secondary lymphoid organ for CD4 and CD8 cell responses and a site of preferential homing and persistence for memory T cells. Bone marrow T (BM-T) cells are distinguished from peripheral blood T cells by surface phenotype, cytokine secretion profile, and immune functions. In this study, ...
